Butler County Community College

BC3 offers employee training

Technology and operations are forever changing. Your latest and greatest computer program, philosophy on customer service, or safety protocols will someday be out of date, maybe even now. Employee training becomes a critical component in operational advancements and a primary factor in ensuring any organization’s success. The benefits of training are well indicated, including education in the proper uses of technology, guaranteeing a competitive edge in the market, improving productivity and profitability, promoting safety, and creating opportunities for career development and personal growth.

Fortunately for local businesses, Cranberry Township is home to a satellite campus of the Butler County Community College (BC3), which has long been considered a leader in providing quality training to the area’s workforce. BC3 employs a staff of seasoned instructors that combine subject knowledge with real work experience to develop and deliver a wide range of effective training programs.

In addition to its regular course offerings, BC3 works with local businesses and employees to create programs customized for their specific needs. The college offers training opportunities that are convenient, cost effective, and include curriculum developed to meet an identified area. According to Kathy Strobel, BC3’s Business Training Coordinator, “We pride ourselves on getting to know each of our clients so that we can provide training that gives your employees the tools and knowledge needed to help your company get ahead in today’s competitive business environment.” Training can be conducted directly at the business’s facility or at one of BC3’s campuses at a time and place convenient for the client.

Programs need not be tailored specifically for large groups. BC3 hosts an open enrollment program for individual employees.
Classes are offered throughout the year at both the Butler and Cranberry campuses and include a variety of quality training opportunities in a wide range of content areas. Strobel adds that BC3 is able to assist clients in applying for training grants through WEDnetPA, a State program that provides funding for training, to help offset costs.
