ESS NexTier takes new services to next level
Businesses, like the people that own, operate, and work in them, often start off a new year with goals in mind for the next 365 days and beyond. In January, Kittanning’s ESS Insurance Group joined forces with NexTier Insurance to create ESS NexTier Insurance, kicking off 2015 with a new partnership. Combined, the two organizations have been in business for 75 years, work with more than 30 carriers, and offer insurance products and services to cover a wide variety of needs.
ESS NexTier set up shop in Cranberry Township at the NexTier Bank on Route 19 and hired Cranberry native Tina Cready to lead the charge. Cranberry was an ideal location for the business. “Everything we need is right here, and the convenient transportation infrastructure makes it easy for people to reach us,” explains Cready.
The merger between the two stalwart groups was seamless, and the company is moving full speed ahead with branding, name recognition and drumming up business. “We’re not trying to sell anything. We want to know what keeps people up at night and do what we can to help them with that,” says Cready. The company offers carefully crafted insurance packages, including individual life, disability and long-term care plans, as well as health, dental, and wellness programs.
Cready feels the company’s size and organizational structure offer its own benefits to customers. “We’re locally owned and operated, and that gives us a certain flexibility for our customers. There’s no red-tape. We are equipped to handle clients’ specific needs because we don’t need to adhere to a large corporate template,” she adds. Local connections are a priority and no business is too small to become a client. “I love that we can serve local companies. Our offices are here, we can benefit people right here.”
