Responsibilities We are responsible for over 132 assets in the fleet division, including vehicles and heavy construction equipment maintenance, roadway repair, street sign installation and maintenance, storm water drainage, heavy and light construction projects, winter maintenance, street-sweeping and right-of-way clearing.
We have 3 full-time mechanics and 8 full-time utility workers. This division maintains 132 miles of adopted Township roads and over 320 cul-de-sacs.
Street sweeping The sweeping program can begin as early as January depending on weather conditions, and continues through June. If there is a heavy winter build-up of anti-skid material on the roads, the program may extend into the summer.
Road Repairs Road repairs begin as early as March and are completed prior to the resurfacing program. Potholes are patched on a consistent basis.
