Senior Center
The
Senior Center in the Township Municipal Center is open year round, and is operated by the Lutheran Services Society and the Butler County Area Agency on Aging.

Lunches are served daily Monday through Friday. Activities are also planned for each day.

The Butler County Area Agency on Aging (AAoA) is a community service agency for senior citizens and has operated in Butler County since 1984. The agency is funded by the Pennsylvania State Lottery, the Federal Older Americans Act, the County of Butler, service fees and private donations by seniors and their families. Governed by the Older Americans Act of 1965 (revised in 2005) and the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, the Butler County Area Agency on Aging is one of 52 AAoAs statewide that provide information and services to help seniors remain independent in the community for as long as possible.
The Area Agency on Aging administers programs and manages services for Butler County residents who are 60 years of age or older.

Butler Area Rural Transit Butler Area Rural Transit (BART) is a transportation program managed by the Alliance for Nonprofit Resources under a contract with Butler County. BART is a shared ride program. Call 724-282-6060 for more information, or visit their webpage BART information and schedule

Adult & Senior Walking Program
Come and walk a few miles in a comfortable, safe environment at the Municipal Center. It’s great exercise. Walking maps are available at the Parks and Recreation Office. Come on Cranberry! Take the challenge...get out and get fit! It’s easy...just put on some comfy clothes and your tennis shoes and grab a loved one or a friend and get walking!
100 Mile Walking Club
Walking participants may log their miles walked with the Parks and Recreation Department. It’s quick and simple...just follow these easy steps. Upon completion of 100 miles you will be rewarded a T-Shirt!
- Sign in at the registration desk upon arrival
- Borrow a lap counter (8 laps along the red path = 1 mile)
- Walk! Walk! Walk!
- Sign out at the registration desk and record the number of laps walked
