Attention Contractors:

We have revised our applications for all types of building, fire prevention and zoning projects.  To ensure a speedy review process, please be sure to submit the new applications after March 4. Applications are available on our website.  Please use the links below to find current applications.   

Sewer and/or Water Tap Payments:

Effective March 1, 2012 all sewer and/or water taps must be paid at the time of building permit issuance. Questions may be directed to Joe Leavens, Manager, Sewer & Water Field Operations at 724-776-4806, x 1515.

The Building & Zoning Codes group is primarily responsible for building, zoning, sign and fire prevention permit review, issuance and inspection. Some of the key functions include enforcement of the building and zoning code(s), the Property Code and responding to citizen concerns related to such matters.

Cranberry Township has adopted the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code which presently adheres to the 2009 International Codes.

The 2009 edition of the ICC Codes will remain in effect with the following amendment: 
Effective December 31, 2012, Chapter 11 and Appendix E of the 2012 International Building Code is adopted as required by Act 1 of 2011, as well as the referenced standard ICC ANSI A117.1 2009
