Using the eCode 360 to create Direct Links or QR Codes
The steps below describe how to obtain QR Codes and links for certain sections of the ordinance, to provide a more direct path to the desired chapter, part, or section using a standard computer and assumes the user is already familiar with the basics of navigating the eCode 360* website. At this time, linking can only be done for Sections (i.e. 27-324) and not subsections (i.e. 27-324.5…).
Step 1 Direct your internet browser to the Township’s eCode 360 webpage at http://www.ecode360.com/CR0448
This opens a Township webpage containing the online Code of Ordinances, and displays the Code in its entirety
To obtain a link to a certain portion of the ordinance, follow Steps 2-4
Step 2 Click on the downward facing arrow to the right of the Chapter, Part, or Section you wish to link to, and click ‘Send’

Step 3 After clicking ‘Send’, a window opens titled ‘Send: undefined – NAME OF CHAPTER/PART/SECTION’. In this window take note that there are four different ways to link to that particular section of the ordinance; a QR Code, ‘Send email’, a link for pasting, and a link for embedding.
a. QR Codes** can be scanned using an app on a smart device and are ideal when publishing material such as posters, postings, etc. in which using a URL is not practical. The image can be duplicated by right-clicking on the image and selecting ‘Copy’.
b. ‘Send email’ will open Outlook and automatically draft an e-mail with a link.
c. The pasting link can be copied by highlighting the entire link, right clicking the highlighted link, selecting ‘Copy’ and pasting it into an e-mail, document, etc.
d. The link for embedding can be utilized for creating webpages and can be copied using the same process outlined in Step 3c.

Step 4 To exit out of the window, click the blue ‘OK’ button on the bottom right.

Example: By following the steps the user may obtain a direct link to Section 21-302 ‘Streetscape Maintenance Responsibility’: http://www.ecode360.com/14186579 , as well as a QR Code**
*NOTE: The outline covers linking in the ‘Advanced View’ version of the eCode 360 page and does not cover the ‘Basic View’ or ‘Touch View’ versions.
*NOTE: QR Codes link only to the Chapter or Part, not the actual Section itself.
