Recycle your old refrigerator or freezer and receive a check for $35.

FirstEnergy has contracted with JACO Environmental to provide appliance recycling services to customers of its utility operating companies in Pennsylvania. JACO will perform all pick up and recycling activities for this program. To schedule an appointment with JACO for an appliance pick up, call 877-270-3521 or schedule online. 

You will receive a check from JACO for $35. for a working refrigerator or freezer, and a $25. check for a working air conditioner approximately 4-6 weeks after pick up. Visit the website for program requirements.

Appliance Disposal will pick up the item containing Freon or will receive the item at one of their drop off centers, visit www.appliancedisposal.org  or call 1-888-GO-FREON. Or, contact a local heating and air conditioning company of your choice.
