Invitation to Bidders

Notice is hereby given that the Cranberry Township Board of Supervisors, Butler County, 2525 Rochester Road, Suite 400, Cranberry Township, PA 16066-6499, will accept sealed bids for the following contract until 9:45 a.m., to be opened at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, February 12, 2018, at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center, 2525 Rochester Road, Suite 400, Cranberry Township, PA 16066-6499.

Contract No. 18-02
Cranberry Highlands Clubhouse Renovations - Carpet/Tile Replacement

Addendum

Provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the removal and replacement of the flooring surface at Cranberry Highlands Clubhouse, including all incidental work and items, all as more clearly specified in the Contract Documents. 

Proposals may be submitted upon forms provided by the Township and must be sealed with proper identification of subject bid on the outside of the envelope.  All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of One-Thousand Dollars ($1,000) payable to Cranberry Township.  Performance Bond will be set at one-hundred percent (100%) and Payment Bond will be set at one-hundred percent (100%) with Bid Bond and Certificate of Insurance furnished as specified in “Instructions to Bidders”.  Faxed bids will not be accepted.  For bidding documents, visit the Township’s website at www.cranberrytownship.org or for a printed copy at a non-refundable fee of $15.00; please call Accu-Copy Reprographics, Inc., at (724) 935-7055.  If you have any questions, please contact the Engineering Department, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except for Holidays, at (724) 776-4806 extension 1134.

All bids shall remain irrevocable for 60 days after the actual date of the opening in compliance with Act 317 of 1978 approved November 26, 1978.

Bidders must comply with all State anti-kickback regulations pertaining to work associated with this project, and will be required to submit an executed anti-collusion statement with the bid.

The estimated cost of this Project is greater than Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act shall apply.  Bidders should refer to provisions of federal and state statutes, rules and regulations dealing with the prevention of environmental pollution and preservation of public natural resources that affect the project, said provisions being pursuant to Act No. 247 of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, approved October 26, 1972.

The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any defects or irregularities in the best interest of the Township.

Fire Station Expansion Renovations - Contracts 18-03 (Gen), 18-04 (Elect), 18-05 (Mech), 18-06 (Plumb)

Addendum

Provide all labor, materials, supervision and equipment necessary for additions to the Route 19 Fire Station and interior renovations to the Haine Fire Station.  The work is more clearly defined in the Contract Documents. 

There will be a Pre-Bid meeting on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at the Route 19 Fire Station located at 20727 Route 19, Cranberry Township, Butler County.

This Contract includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation and work required to complete Crack Sealing on 110,000 lineal feet of roadway.

All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of One-Thousand Dollars ($1,000) payable to Cranberry Township. Performance Bond will be set at twenty-five percent (25%) of the bid and Payment Bond will be set at one-hundred percent (100%) of the bid with Certificate of Insurance furnished as specified in “Instructions to Bidders”. Faxed bids will not be accepted.

Bidders must also provide evidence of PENNDOT prequalification in all aspects of the work.

Invitation, preparation, submittals, bidding requirements, all materials furnished and all work performed shall conform to the current specifications of PENNDOT Form 408, current edition and specified bulletins.
