Zoning Hearing Boards are mandated by the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code. Their major roles are, first, to provide a legal mechanism for considering appeals from property owners seeking variances from zoning requirements, and second, as a way to challenge the validity of land use determinations.
Cranberry's Zoning Hearing Board is made up of five members serving five year terms Members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors upon any vacancy.
The Zoning Hearing Board meets on the 3rd Monday of the month at 7:30 pm on an as-needed basis. Meetings are listed on the Township's Calendar.
